Three Bay Oak Frame Garages
Our three bay Oak frame garages offer a very versatile building. Many of our clients use two bays for garaging and the third bay for garden equipment, workshop or even as an office / gym.
A variety of enclosures are available to create a variety of designs and styles to tailor your Oak frame building to your exact requirements. Popular enclosures include double garage doors, remote control roller shutter doors, personnel door / window combinations, French doors or full height windows.
We offer a choice of designs, with gable or catslide roofs together with depths either 5.2m or 6.0m. There is further choice on ridge height, 3.9m is far the most popular as it can mean planning permission is not required. The higher ridge of 4.7m can provide valuable extra storage space and gives the option to have loft space in the vaulted roof area. Within our standard layouts there are plenty of options to create your ideal Oak garage.

Case Study in Three Bay Oak Garage design and build
An Oak Frame Three Bay Structure, Two Garage Parking Bays and Implement Store in Shropshire.
Our customer had wanted an Oak frame garage and store for some time, to accommodate his & his wife’s car, plus gardening equipment and motorbike.
Not long after moving back to Shropshire and settling in to their new house, we received a brief for exactly that and then visited the premises to see exactly where the Oak building was to be located. A site visit is necessary so that we can work on the cost of the groundworks which vary depending on the position of the site, if it is sloping etc. Our customer wanted the full build package from ourselves, therefore a good conversation was required to gather all information to supply a design and price.
Our customer chose one of our standard garage frames, The Beeston, standard depth 9.3m wide x 6.0m deep x 3.9m to ridge height and then worked on the specific layout of the bay requirements. The left hand side bay was to be the store with double garage doors, plus a side personnel door inside the centre bay and an external window to the left hand side gable end. The centre and right hand side bays were to be open fronted car parking bays. The design was drawn up, approved and then our customer secured his own planning permission from the local council.
We planned the project in with our groundworks team, the workshop, and liaised closely with the client, all went to plan and the concrete base and brick walls were built on time, ready for the frame delivery. The Oak frame was erected and construction commenced, ridge board, rafters, then stud walls and cladding. The slate roof was fitted, then gutters/downpipes/drainage to the soakaway.
We were to control the building regulations and we handled visits from the building inspector, who was happy with all parts of the build.
A few more ton of matching gravel was imported around the garage entrance and all was finished, a happy customer, with both cars parked in the Oak garage and the store filled to capacity!!!
