We are one of the few suppliers in the marketplace to offer the full managed turnkey service from start to finish. We offer a very personal service and work directly with our clients on every aspect of the project, from the initial design discussion through supply and construction of the Oak Structure to completion of the build, using the experience we have gained from over 12 years in the Oak Frame trade.
We believe we supply some of the best quality structures in the market. We will never say we are the cheapest supplier in the market however, there is nothing hidden in the quotation, we cost in detail, even to the individual gutter clip. Design
We offer a full design service from initial concept drawings, to CAD drawings then to elevation & plan drawings for planning permission and then working drawings for all aspects of the Oak frame building work.
All of our buildings are designed so as to comply with modern building regulations where required.
The standard range is designed to accommodate the largest family vehicles including 4 x 4’s.
If a standard model doesn’t quite fit the bill, we will produce a building to suit your specific design requirements.
We can prepare planning drawings on your behalf if required and can undertake planning applications in most areas that we cover.
We have gained a reputation for being “experts in our field” as we often get calls from builders working on oak structures from other suppliers asking for advise on construction methods, technical points, etc. as they have concerns about the frame they are working on, but this is content for a different blog!
Supply
Our standard Oak frames are much more substantial than the majority of our competitors. We use 175mm x 175mm (7” x 7”) posts & eaves beams on all of our standard and most bespoke buildings, plus we can include larger framing sections if required.
All of our Oak frames have traditional mortise and tenon joints and are crafted from constructional grade Oak.
We use draw pegs on our Oak frame joints from seasoned Oak so as to create stronger and more stable structures
The softwood items (wall studs, rafters and ridge board) are planed so as to offer a neater finish and are Vac Vac clear treated giving a more longer lasting natural colour.
Our joinery products which include doors, windows and staircases are hand crafted by experienced joiners and include several coats of protective oil.
Construction
Our various construction teams are experienced in all areas of the build, from ground-works, brick laying, Oak frame erection & construction and roofing in slate, tile or cedar shingle.
We use our own specific construction system to ensure a more water tight, draft free building, even on our open front bay garages.
All of our Oak frame structures are thoroughly cleaned and acid washed at the end of the construction process, ensuring a pristine building is handed over to our customer.
We also offer more, ie. landscaping, drives, internal fit out of buildings, a maintenance programme and much more.
